According to businesstimes.com.sg, CapitaLand Malaysia Trust (CLMT) reported a 21.6% year-on-year increase in its third-quarter distribution per unit, driven mainly by contributions from industrial and logistics properties acquired in 2025.
DPU for the quarter rose to RM0.0135 from RM0.0111 a year earlier, the trust’s manager said on Thursday (Oct 22). Distributable income climbed 32.2% year on year to RM46.3 million (US$11.3 million), up from RM35.1 million previously.
Revenue grew 9.1% to RM126.5 million from RM116 million in the same quarter a year ago, while net property income advanced 14.9% to RM79.4 million from RM69.1 million.
Industrial and logistics expansion lifts earnings
Yong Su-Lin, chief executive of the trust’s manager, attributed the stable showing to the portfolio’s widened base, saying CLMT delivered the results despite a challenging macroeconomic backdrop.

The manager said positive rental reversions, rental step-ups and higher contributions from most of CLMT’s existing retail assets also fed into DPU and net property income growth during the quarter.
Occupancy holds above 93% across portfolios
Overall portfolio occupancy stood at 94.3% as at Sep 30, with the retail portfolio holding steady at 93.1%, according to the manager.
For the first nine months of 2026, CLMT’s retail portfolio recorded a positive rental reversion of 11.3%. Shopper traffic for the quarter increased 8.2% year on year, while tenant sales per square foot rose 4.5%.
