CEVA acquires Paack for €180M; Colis Privé revenue to exceed $626.5M

According to www.freightwaves.com, CEVA Logistics has agreed to acquire Paack’s operating units in France, Spain, and Portugal — a move that would integrate the final-mile courier into CEVA’s European last-mile subsidiary, Colis Privé.

Strategic expansion across Iberia and France

The acquisition would enable Colis Privé to rapidly enter the Spanish and Portuguese markets while reinforcing its domestic network in France. Paack operates 21 distribution hubs across four countries and maintains 82 sites in the Iberian Peninsula alone — including 61 partner distribution centers and more than 5,000 active pickup and drop-off locations. In France, Paack’s six urban delivery stations are designed for seamless integration with Colis Privé’s existing infrastructure.

Revenue impact and workforce integration

Paack Iberia generated €125 million (approximately $142.4 million) in revenue last year, while Paack France reported $55.8 million. With the addition of these operations, Colis Privé’s consolidated revenue would exceed $626.5 million, according to the news release. The deal would also bring nearly 490 employees into Colis Privé’s workforce, expanding its current team of approximately 5,000 delivery drivers.

Technology and cold chain capabilities

Founded in Barcelona in 2015, Paack’s proprietary technology platform supports end-to-end parcel planning, real-time tracking, precise time-slot management, advanced reporting, integrated returns handling, and AI-driven route optimization. These capabilities will directly enhance Colis Privé’s service offerings. Paack also provides temperature-controlled logistics: its cold chain service uses refrigerated vehicles and warehouses, with continuous temperature monitoring during transit for fresh, frozen, and perishable goods. Key clients include German pet supply retailer Zooplus, Nespresso, and Spanish online flower marketplace Colvin.

Broader consolidation in European e-commerce logistics

This transaction reflects accelerating consolidation across Europe’s final-mile sector. Last year, Poland-based InPost acquired Spanish fulfillment provider Sending, UK-based Yodel, and French parcel network Mondial Relay. In February, FedEx took a one-third stake in InPost. Meanwhile, DHL eCommerce acquired Polish locker provider APM Solutions and Saudi Arabian courier Apex Logistics in 2025. Colis Privé itself acquired MIPI in 2025, adding over 300 delivery drivers and strengthening coverage in major French metropolitan areas.

Regulatory and leadership context

The Paack acquisition is subject to regulatory approval in France and mandatory consultation with relevant labor unions. It follows a flurry of strategic moves by CMA CGM Group, CEVA’s parent company. On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, CMA CGM announced its agreement to acquire FedEx Supply Chain for $1.4 billion, significantly expanding CEVA’s North American warehouse footprint and customer base. Later the same day, CMA CGM appointed Patrick Moebel, former president of FedEx Logistics, as CEVA’s new CEO, while Matthieu Friedberg assumed responsibility for Group digital transformation.

“With the acquisition of Paack, Colis Privé would take a decisive step forward in its European development. By strengthening our presence in key markets and integrating a leading technology platform, we would be giving ourselves the means to accelerate our growth and enhance our last-mile delivery offering.” — Yasmine Iamarene, CEO of Colis Privé

The integration would extend Colis Privé’s operational reach beyond the EU: it already serves Belgium, Luxembourg, and Morocco (under a licensing model enabling access to North African e-commerce markets). Paack also operates a unit in Italy — though the acquisition covers only its French, Spanish, and Portuguese entities.
