Trade Compliance Tech 2026: First U.S. AI-Driven Compliance Event

According to www.supplychainbrain.com, the American Conference Institute (ACI) has launched Trade Compliance Tech, the first U.S. event exclusively dedicated to artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation in trade compliance. Scheduled for July 22–23, 2026 at the DC Bar Association, the conference targets professionals responsible for building, implementing, and scaling next-generation trade compliance programs.

A Technology-First Approach to Compliance

Unlike traditional legal or policy-focused conferences, Trade Compliance Tech delivers a hands-on, technology-driven experience. It convenes a cross-functional audience—including trade compliance leaders, government officials, IT and data specialists, supply chain executives, and solution providers—to examine how AI, automation, and analytics are reshaping compliance operations.

“Trade compliance teams are being asked to do more with greater speed and precision, often without additional resources,” said Yale Deskins, Conference Producer at ACI.

End-to-End Technology Lifecycle Coverage

Over two immersive days, attendees will gain a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of the compliance technology lifecycle—from conducting risk assessments and evaluating solutions to securing internal buy-in, operationalizing AI, and measuring return on investment. Key topics include:

  • AI, analytics, and automation trends driving compliance innovation
  • Best practices for selecting and implementing technology solutions
  • Real-world applications of AI in export classification and screening
  • Strategies for securing C-suite support and funding
  • AI-enabled third-party and supply chain risk management

The program features practical case studies, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions explicitly designed to move beyond theory and into execution. The event is ideal for professionals across trade compliance, legal, IT, cybersecurity, supply chain, procurement, and operations who are tasked with improving efficiency, reducing risk, and future-proofing their compliance programs.

Industry Context & Practitioner Relevance

This launch aligns with broader industry momentum: ACI previously announced the EAR Compliance & Licensing Masterclass and the inaugural U.S.-Mexico Summit on Trade Compliance & Supply Chain Risk, signaling its sustained focus on regulatory modernization amid tightening export controls and heightened cross-border scrutiny. For supply chain professionals, the rise of AI-powered screening, automated tariff classification, and real-time third-party risk scoring is no longer theoretical—tools are now deployable, but adoption hinges on cross-departmental alignment, data readiness, and measurable ROI frameworks. With global trade increasingly shaped by dynamic sanctions lists, evolving country-specific licensing requirements (e.g., under the Export Administration Regulations), and multi-tiered supply chain due diligence mandates, integrating scalable tech into compliance workflows has shifted from strategic advantage to operational necessity.
