DHL Supply Chain Cuts Jobs in Wisconsin
=============================================

The planned factory closure, set for next year, will affect over 30 employees.

Published Date: October 11, 2024

Editor: Kelly Stroh

According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) issued on August 27, DHL Supply Chain plans to close a factory located in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

The notification states that the facility is scheduled for closure on February 28, 2025, impacting 32 employees. Affected roles include forklift operators, a planning and analysis manager, and operations supervisors.

A spokesperson for DHL Supply Chain attributed this closure to a client’s decision to restructure its distribution channels, with the company committing to collaborate with affected team members by providing resources and assistance to help them transition.

Over the past year, DHL Supply Chain has made several network adjustments in response to changes in customer demand. Starting from November 10, another DHL Supply Chain facility in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, is also planned for closure, affecting nearly 170 employees. Similarly, a facility in Indiana had approximately the same number of employees laid off in August.
