# UiPath Releases the ‘2024 Automation Professional Report’, Revealing AI Integration as a Key Enterprise Priority
**New York, September 16, 2024** — UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a leading enterprise automation and AI software company, today released its annual ‘Automation Professional Report,’ revealing the current state, future prospects, and public perception of automation in the workplace.
The report is based on a survey of 1909 global automation professionals and students, including members from the UiPath Community. The findings indicate that 2024 will be a year marked by AI integration and usage; 90% of automation professionals are currently using or plan to use AI within the next year. The primary motivation for integrating AI into workflows is to enhance productivity (66%), with automation professionals leveraging this technology in various ways, including coding (67%), document creation (57%), and testing (47%).
On a broader scale, most professionals see their automation teams growing and maturing – 61% of respondents reported that their companies have increased the number of employees in the automation sector over the past 12 months, while 81% believe their organizations will hire more automation professionals within the next year. With market growth comes an even greater emphasis on training to ensure professionals can fully harness automation tools and benefit from them.
Other key findings from this year’s ‘Automation Professional Report’ include:
– **Satisfaction Among Automation Professionals:** 70% of automation professionals believe they will continue working in the industry for at least five more years. Regardless of their career paths, 86% feel that their current work in automation will give them an advantage in future career changes.
– **Confidence in the Future of Automation:** Over 84% of respondents are confident about the growth of software automation, and 80% believe they will play increasingly important roles within their organizations over the next year.
– **Maturation of Automation Within Organizations:** 60% of respondents indicated that their organizations have been using software automation for more than five years, up from 47% last year. Developers are creating automated processes across multiple departments, most commonly accounting and finance (67%), IT (53%), and operations (51%).
– **AI Integration into Automation Processes:** 81% of respondents report using AI products at least several times a week or daily in their automation projects. With employees actively adopting more AI-based tools, only 19% find it difficult to integrate AI into automation.
