The company attributed the mobile performance to premiumisation of its customer portfolio, higher ARPU and strong additions of smartphone data customers. Postpaid net additions reached 1.2 million in the quarter — described as its strongest-ever single-quarter performance — lifting the postpaid base to 31.2 million.

Airtel Business reported an 11.4% year-on-year revenue increase, driven by broad-based growth across core connectivity and digital services. Digital TV revenue rose 2.4% to Rs 771 crore, supported by growing adoption of IPTV services.

Africa revenue increased 25.7% year on year in reported currency and 20.6% in constant currency, with a customer base of 193.9 million. Across operations in 15 countries, Airtel’s total customer base expanded to 693 million, aided by quarterly net additions of 12 million customers across India and Africa.

Management commentary

He highlighted Africa’s 6.7% sequential revenue growth in constant currency, partly credited to deploying Airtel’s homegrown technology stack across markets.

In an October 2026 report drawing on interviews with 49 stakeholders and site visits in Washington, Oregon, France and the Netherlands, the agency said circularity could support repair and recycling jobs but faces hurdles from the lack of nationwide collection and processing infrastructure. Stakeholders were split on whether Washington or individual states should lead, with several industry groups favouring a federal approach for consistency.
