ATLANTA – Transportation Insight Holdings, LLC (together with its affiliates, the “Company”), a leading provider of non-asset, tech-enabled logistics and brokerage solutions in North America servicing more than 14,000 shippers and over 80,000 carriers through Transportation Insight (“TI”), Nolan Transportation Group (“NTG”), and its proprietary Beon™ Digital Logistics Platform (“Beon”), on Thursday announced that Alan Gershenhorn, Executive Chair of the Company’s Board of Managers (the “Board”) and an experienced logistics industry leader, has been appointed Interim CEO of the Company, effective immediately.

Mr. Gershenhorn has extensive experience in the freight, supply chain management, and logistics industries, and has served on the Company’s Board since 2018 and as Executive Chair since late 2022.

Mr. Gershenhorn’s appointment follows Ken Beyer’s resignation as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer to pursue another opportunity outside of the freight industry. The Board will initiate a process to identify the Company’s next permanent CEO, which will include consideration of internal and external candidates.

Mr. Beyer said, “I am very proud of what our team has achieved over the past five years at TI, NTG, and Beon. During that time, we have significantly advanced our digital capabilities, creating a scalable and efficient operating platform that supports customer success from port to porch. We have also assembled a talented and highly engaged team and have been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for two consecutive years. The Company has a strong foundation in place to build on our momentum, and I am confident that Alan and the team will continue to elevate the business to deliver long-term success.”

Mr. Gershenhorn said, “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Ken for his leadership and wish him well in his future endeavors. The Company continues to exhibit impressive operating strength, even in today’s challenging macro environment, growing its revenue year-over-year while nearly doubling adjusted EBITDA through Q3 this year. In addition, our innovative digital logistics platform, Beon, continues to outperform, empowering our business partners across the logistics chain to streamline operations and accelerate growth. I intend to work closely with our talented leadership team to continue providing significant value to our customers while delivering strong financial results. At the same time, our Board will conduct a comprehensive search to identify a permanent leader to build on our strong operating performance and drive growth by facilitating our customers’ success.”

Leigh Abramson, Co-CIO, Deal Partner & Co-Head of the Industrial Growth Group of Gryphon Investors, said, “We are grateful to Ken for his contributions to the Company. As we look ahead, we are fortunate to have a leader of Alan’s caliber to drive the business forward while the Board conducts its search for the Company’s next permanent CEO.”

Additional Executive Leadership Updates

To better align with the Company’s strategy and acknowledge the dedication, commitment, and accomplishments by members of the executive leadership team, the Company also announced the following promotions:

  • Miles English will serve as President of Beon™ Digital Solutions and Chief Digital & Information Officer
  • Drew Herpich will serve as President & Chief Operating Officer of NTG
  • Michael Mclary will serve as President & Chief Commercial Officer of NTG
  • Mark Vale will serve as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Transportation Insight Holdings, LLC
  • Jared Wilson will serve as President Managed Transportation Services

These leaders, along with Bryan Rueger, Chief People Officer, and Mike Manders, Senior Vice President Growth Enablement, will continue to work alongside Mr. Gershenhorn to steer TI, NTG, and Beon toward future success.

Mr. Gershenhorn continued, “As I step into the role of Interim CEO, I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated group of high-performing executives. I am confident that, together, we will continue to create and deliver superior customer value and achieve further operational and financial growth.”
