As the global end-of-year shopping season approaches, DHL Global Forwarding, the freight experts of the DHL Group, has launched a range of cross-border e-commerce solutions. These solutions will offer international shipping services from China to various destinations with different service levels and features, complemented by an integrated tracking platform for end-to-end transparency.
Despite mixed global economic conditions, China’s e-commerce sector continues to grow. In the first half of 2024, China’s cross-border e-commerce trade volume reached RMB 1.22 trillion (€155 billion), representing a year-over-year increase of 10.5%.
“Chinese companies like Shein, Temu, AliExpress, and TikTok Shop are gaining popularity worldwide. While the U.S. remains a major export market, Europe is quickly becoming an important region for these e-commerce platforms. According to DHL’s recently released global shopper trend report, 53% of European online shoppers purchase products from China,” said Aditi Rasquinha, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Greater China.
“Cross-border e-commerce operations can face many hidden obstacles, especially for small and medium-sized clients unfamiliar with the customs and logistics regulations in destination markets. DGF can be a strong and reliable partner. Our solutions provide Chinese e-commerce companies with simple and affordable cross-border shipping options that include return services and full or partial tracking,” said Robin Li, Vice President of Global E-Commerce Development at DHL Global Forwarding.

One key advantage of this solution is direct access to the European market through DHL’s network. The solution will include:
– End-to-end fast delivery from China to Germany in 4-5 days
– Fully managed customs clearance
– Quick and reliable shipping times with door-to-door delivery and delivery confirmation
– End-to-end shipment visibility for both senders and receivers via the 24/7 DHL customer portal
The e-commerce solution will also offer expedited services for other markets, including other parts of Europe, the UK, and the U.S.
“We are making it easier for our customers to focus on what they do best: promoting products globally. This solution is designed to help them maximize coverage while minimizing investment, especially as we approach peak holiday seasons,” Aditi added.
