CEVA acquires Paack Iberia, France for pan-European last-mile expansion

CEVA acquires Paack Iberia, France for pan-European last-mile expansion

According to container-news.com, CEVA Logistics has signed exclusive agreements to acquire Paack Iberia and Paack France — a move designed to scale its last-mile delivery infrastructure across Southern Europe and strengthen its B2C subsidiary, Colis Privé.

Strategic Expansion in Key Markets

The acquisition targets two distinct but complementary geographies: France and the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). It would establish CEVA’s first physical last-mile presence in Spain and Portugal while reinforcing its existing footprint in France. The transaction directly supports CEVA’s stated strategy to build a pan-European last-mile delivery platform tailored to the accelerating demands of the eCommerce sector. Founded in Barcelona in 2015, Paack operates a hybrid model combining proprietary technology with an integrated logistics network — offering time-slot deliveries, real-time parcel tracking, returns management, and AI-driven route optimisation.

Revenue, Facilities, and Operational Scale

In 2025, Paack generated €125 million in revenue across Spain and Portugal and €49 million in France. Its physical infrastructure includes 82 facilities across the Iberian Peninsula — comprising 21 hubs, 61 partner distribution centres, and more than 5,000 pickup and drop-off (PUDO) locations. In France, Paack operates six urban centres, which are positioned to integrate with and augment Colis Privé’s current network. Following the close of the deal, Colis Privé is projected to surpass €550 million in annual revenue.

Technology Integration and Workforce Impact

CEVA highlighted that Paack’s proprietary technology platform — supporting parcel planning, shipment tracking, delivery time-slot management, and dynamic route optimisation — will significantly enhance Colis Privé’s digital capabilities. Today, Colis Privé collaborates with approximately 5,000 delivery drivers across France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The acquisition will add nearly 490 employees and expand operational capacity in Southern Europe. This workforce addition includes both technology staff and frontline logistics personnel embedded across Paack’s hub-and-PUDO network.

Leadership Perspectives and Regulatory Pathway

Yasmine Iamarene, CEO of Colis Privé, emphasized the strategic significance of the move:

“The acquisition represents an important step in our European expansion. It strengthens our presence in key markets while improving the flexibility and efficiency of our last-mile services.” — Yasmine Iamarene, CEO of Colis Privé

Xavier Rosales, Co-founder and CEO of Paack Iberia, noted that joining CEVA would accelerate the rollout of Paack’s service model:

“Joining Colis Privé will allow Paack to expand its technology and service model across Europe.” — Xavier Rosales, Co-founder and CEO of Paack Iberia

Ignacio Lopez, CEO of Paack France, added:

“The combination will strengthen the national delivery network and create new opportunities in the omnichannel logistics market.” — Ignacio Lopez, CEO of Paack France

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. In France specifically, completion requires fulfilment of the employee consultation process and formal employee notification procedures.
