DHL Global Forwarding Appoints New CEO for Greater China Region
Press Release: Singapore, August 1, 2024
Aditi Rasquinha appointed as CEO to succeed recently retired Steve Huang
DHL Global Forwarding, a logistics expert within the DHL Group, announced that Aditi Rasquinha will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer for Greater China Region of DHL Global Forwarding starting from August 1, 2024. She succeeds Steve Huang, who has retired after an illustrious career spanning more than three decades with the DHL Group.
“We are delighted to welcome Aditi back to DHL Global Forwarding. Her familiarity with the organization, extensive experience in the logistics industry, and leadership capabilities will be instrumental as she leads our operations in the Greater China market. This region presents numerous opportunities for us and our clients, and I am confident that Aditi will bring fresh perspectives and help us achieve even greater success here,” said Niki Frank, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific.
Rasquinha is no stranger to DHL Global Forwarding; she began her career with the company in 2005 as a business analyst within the global customer solutions team based in Singapore. Over the next five years, she steadily progressed through the ranks and eventually became the Strategic Sea Freight Account Director for DHL Global Forwarding Singapore. Most recently at DHL, she held the position of Sea Freight Director for DHL Global Forwarding Malaysia until 2014.
Since then, Rasquinha has amassed extensive experience with Kuehne + Nagel as a sea freight executive overseeing operations in Thailand and the Netherlands, and from 2021 served as DB Schenker’s Sea Freight Director for Asia Pacific.
“I am thrilled about this role and look forward to driving growth momentum at DHL Global Forwarding Greater China. Returning to DHL feels like coming home, and I am excited to reconnect with colleagues and bring fresh ideas. We have many opportunities in this region to capitalize on, particularly with the Electric Vehicle (EV) Competence Center we launched in Shanghai,” added Rasquinha, now CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Greater China.
DHL Global Forwarding recently opened its latest EV Competence Center in Shanghai to support the development and growth of electric vehicle companies and related industries in both local and global markets. This is the first such center for the group in China, which is the world’s largest market for electric vehicles.
The Shanghai EV Competence Center focuses on seamless end-to-end logistics integration for electric vehicle products, including batteries, motors, charging infrastructure, etc., with a dedicated team of experts to ensure efficient handling, storage, and transportation that meets the unique needs of the electric vehicle industry.
