BlueGrace acquires Idaho 3PL Truk TMS to expand Pacific Northwest LTL reach

According to finance.yahoo.com, BlueGrace Logistics has acquired Idaho-based third-party logistics provider Truk TMS, integrating the firm into its national managed logistics platform.

Strategic Integration in the Pacific Northwest

Truk TMS, headquartered in Idaho, specializes in less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation brokerage and offers complementary truckload and supply chain services across North America—with a heavy concentration in the Pacific Northwest. The acquisition strengthens BlueGrace’s regional footprint in a high-growth corridor where demand for agile, data-driven freight solutions continues to rise. Tampa, Florida-based BlueGrace Logistics serves more than 10,000 customers from nine offices spanning the U.S. and Mexico. Its proprietary BlueShip platform connects over 250,000 carriers and delivers LTL, TL, reefer, and multimodal transportation services.

Technology and Platform Synergy

Truk TMS had previously operated as a trusted partner of BlueGrace before the acquisition, granting it early access to BlueGrace’s technology infrastructure. Post-acquisition, Truk TMS gains full integration with the Managed Logistics platform, including real-time data analytics, dynamic carrier matching, and end-to-end shipment visibility. As Bobby Harris, founder and CEO of BlueGrace, stated:

“Truk TMS has operated as one of our most trusted partners, and this acquisition is simply the natural next step in that relationship. Bringing them fully into the BlueGrace family means their customers get full access to our Managed Logistics platform, our technology, our carrier network, and our scale, without losing the service they’ve always counted on.” — Bobby Harris, BlueGrace founder and CEO

Broader Acquisition Strategy

This transaction marks BlueGrace’s third acquisition in the past 12 months. In 2025, the company acquired Michigan-based STB Freight Group and Florida-based broker FreightCenter. All three acquisitions align with BlueGrace’s growth strategy under ownership by private equity firm Warburg Pincus. The company plans to integrate Truk TMS into its legacy operations while preserving its client-facing team and service model. According to Mark Barnes, CEO of Truk TMS:

“Becoming part of BlueGrace formally is a proud moment for our whole team. Our customers get the same team and the same service they’ve always counted on, now backed by BlueGrace’s full Managed Logistics platform and the trusted BlueShip technology behind it.” — Mark Barnes, Truk TMS CEO

Market Context and Implications

The consolidation trend among U.S.-based 3PLs reflects intensifying competitive pressure to scale technology capabilities and geographic coverage. BlueGrace’s acquisition of Truk TMS follows similar moves by peers—including C.H. Robinson’s 2024 purchase of ShipperLogic and Flexport’s 2025 expansion into LTL via its dedicated LTL service launch. With LTL volumes growing at an estimated 4.2% year-over-year nationally—and Pacific Northwest industrial output up 6.7% in Q2 2026—specialized brokers like Truk TMS bring both domain expertise and regional density critical to integrated logistics platforms. For supply chain professionals, the deal signals increasing accessibility to unified LTL+TL visibility tools, reduced manual tendering, and improved capacity forecasting through shared carrier networks.
