Wings OBC Expands GSSA Coverage to 8 European Markets

According to www.aircargonews.net, Wings Onboard Courier (Wings OBC) and Air Logistics Group have renewed and expanded their long-standing partnership for onboard courier (OBC) services across Europe — adding Germany effective 1 June 2026, bringing the total number of covered markets to eight: the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, France, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Germany.

Extended GSSA Agreement Strengthens Time-Critical Logistics

The two companies have collaborated since 2016, initially in six European countries. Under the renewed agreement, Air Logistics Group will serve as Wings OBC’s General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) across all eight territories. The expansion is explicitly intended to support time-critical shipments — particularly in high-stakes verticals including automotive, pharma, aerospace, and high-tech.

Leadership Statements Emphasize Speed, Reliability, and Local Integration

Raz Brod, managing director of Wings Onboard Courier, stated:

“Renewing our exclusive GSSA agreement ensures that customers in these key European markets will continue to benefit from our combined strengths and unwavering commitment to speed, reliability, and personal service.”

Stephen Dawkins, chief executive of Air Logistics Group, added:

“The extension of this agreement signals our joint ambition to further enhance our specialist cargo offering in Europe. With Wings’ world-class onboard courier expertise and our strong local sales and service network, we are ideally positioned to respond quickly to urgent logistics challenges.”

Industry Context for Supply Chain Professionals

This development reflects a broader trend among air cargo specialists to deepen regional GSSA partnerships amid rising demand for guaranteed, next-flight-out (NFO) solutions. As noted in related coverage on the same site, Air Charter Services reported “huge growth” in its NFO offering in 2025, attributed to geopolitical volatility disrupting traditional routing and timing. Similarly, Alaska Airlines recently selected Kales Airline Services for GSSA representation in the UK, Ireland, and Italy — underscoring continued investment in localized airfreight commercial infrastructure across the EU. For supply chain professionals, such partnerships translate directly into improved access to verified, rapid-response capacity — especially valuable when managing just-in-time components, temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, or mission-critical aerospace spares where delays cascade across production schedules.

Operational Implications

  • GSSA coverage now spans eight major EU markets — enabling unified commercial support, billing, and customer service coordination for Wings OBC clients across Western Europe
  • Germany’s inclusion (from 1 June 2026) aligns with its status as Europe’s largest automotive and industrial equipment exporter — a strategic fit for time-critical OBC use cases
  • The collaboration leverages Air Logistics Group’s established local presence and Wings OBC’s dedicated onboard courier execution model — combining sales reach with operational precision
