Averitt expands its logistics network with a new facility in Jackson, Mississippi.
The facility is located at 2001 East County Line Road in Jackson, Mississippi. It marks Averitt’s first dedicated logistics center in the state of Mississippi. The company opened the facility in August 2026. The Jackson location spans 100,000 square feet and includes both warehouse and distribution capabilities. Averitt plans to hire up to 50 full-time employees at the site by the end of 2026.
Strategic Southeastern Expansion
The Jackson facility strengthens Averitt’s presence across the U.S. Southeast. It joins existing Averitt facilities in Atlanta, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee; and Birmingham, Alabama. The company operates more than 30 service centers nationwide. This expansion supports growing customer demand for integrated transportation and logistics solutions in the region.
Averitt’s network now covers 48 states, with dedicated regional hubs designed to reduce transit times and improve on-time delivery performance. The Jackson site enables same-day dispatch for shipments originating within a 150-mile radius of the facility.
Operational Capabilities and Technology Integration
The Jackson facility features modern material-handling equipment and integrates with Averitt’s proprietary transportation management system (TMS). It supports cross-dock, transloading, and value-added services including kitting and labeling. The site is certified compliant with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
Warehouse management systems at the facility support real-time inventory visibility and automated yard management. Averitt invested $8.2 million in construction, equipment, and technology deployment for the Jackson location.
